AMRITSAR SAHIB - Sachkhand a place like no other

$430.00Price

It is 3pm.

As the Ardaas concludes inside Sri Harmandir Sahib, the Sangat begins to move almost instinctively. Buckets of water are filled from the Sarovar and passed from one person to another in an unbroken chain. Sevadars wash the marble floors of the Parikarma while others follow behind with jhadoos. There is no rush, no confusion. The sangat engaged in seva moves together in remarkable harmony.

All the while, the melodies of Gurbani Kirtan flow from inside Sri Harmandir Sahib,

"At Pritam Manmohna..."

The sound of the shabad, the sight of the Sangat engaged in seva, and the shimmering reflection of Sri Harmandir Sahib upon the the Sarovar combine into an experience of bliss. Throughout the creation of this artwork, many sakhis and memories connected to Sri Harmandir Sahib repeatedly surfaced in our minds. We often found ourselves reflecting upon the time when Sri Guru Ram Das Ji initiated the seva of the Amrit Sarovar. Our thoughts would then drift towards Dhan Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, seated beneath the shade of Lachi Beri, overseeing the seva and construction of Sri Harmandir Sahib. We imagined the atmosphere of those days—the sounds of tools, the voices of the Sangat. We also reflected upon Baba Buddha Sahib Ji, sitting beneath the tree now known as Ber Baba Buddha Sahib, watching over the seva and guiding the Sangat with wisdom and humility. Through our imagination, we tried to glimpse what those blessed moments may have felt like. And then there is the deeply moving memory of Hazrat Sayi Mian Mir Ji laying the foundation stone of Sri Harmandir Sahib—a moment that continues to inspire generations with its message of oneness.

Our hope is that whenever you look upon this piece, it transports you back to those precious moments. May it remind you of the peace you felt while sitting in Darbar Sahib Parikarma, the sound of Gurbani echoing across the Sarovar, and the blessings experienced in the presence of the Guru. And if you have not visited yet, may Maharaj bless you with the Darshan and Ishnaan of Sri Amritsar Sahib very soon.

After all,
